We are seeking an innovative biologist with experience in plant development and seed physiology in the organization of Innovation Science and Engineering (ISE). Job Description Support the design, execution, and analysis of experiments to better understand/characterize the physiological and developmental response of crop plants to various treatments aiming to improve plant performance. Generate high quality data and maintain detailed record keeping and documentation for process improvements. Collaborate with other scientists on the team and support the discovery, development, and deployment of novel technologies. Complete job-related trainings and share a culture of safety, innovation, customer focus and collaboration. Skills Required 1 or more years of research experience in crop/plant/seed physiology, seed biology, plant developmental biology, plant reproductive biology, plant cell biology, tissue culture and transformation, plant biochemistry or related field is desired. A high attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). Willingness to travel up to 10% of time and perform tasks outdoors in the field. Desired technical skills: General plant care Greenhouse, growth chamber and field experimentation (setting and monitoring environmental conditions) Seed germination assay preparation and evaluation Media preparation Basic imaging and image analysis Education/Training/Certifications Bachelor's degree or above in area of biological sciences. Additional Requirements Must be able to pass drug screen & criminal background check. Shift: 08:00 AM Pay Rate/Salary Estimated Salary: $26.00 to $34.00 per hour based on qualifications.
