Summary of Position: Assist Director of Merchandising in the process of transforming raw data into meaningful insights to answer questions, solve problems, and make informed decisions Prepare reports and presentations to communicate insights and findings from the data to inform and lay the groundwork for strategic decision-making Gather data from primary and secondary sources, ensuring the upkeep of databases and data systems Detect, examine, and decode trends or patterns with intricate datasets Create a visual representation of data findings through charts, graphs, and dashboards to make the data understandable at a glance Cleanse data and scrutinize computer-generated reports and outputs to identify and rectify coding errors Compile, analyze, and report sales data across all 3 divisions (Licensed, Golf, and Corporate) monitoring and analyzing competitive activity, customer, and market trends. Coordinate with Director of Merchandising to align business and informational priorities to uncover and explore new insights, hidden trends, and opportunities Identify opportunities for process enhancements database for PLM and BI Employ statistical techniques to scrutinize data and produce actionable business insights Collaborate with merchandising team to determine and rank the needs of different business units Develop data dashboards, charts, and visual aids to support decision-making across departments Convey insights through both reports and visual presentations Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies swiftly, facilitating informed decision-making and goal achievement Competencies: Proficient in Microsoft Excel with the ability to manipulate large data sets Excellent communication skills (verbal & written) Solution-oriented, with strong problem-solving ability Detail-oriented, with a customer-focused approach Strong organization and time management skills Self-starter with the ability to work well independently and in a team environment Team player with an agile and fast-paced mindset, can quickly and effectively re-prioritize daily tasks based on changing business needs Strong follow-up and ability to influence business partners Qualifications Bachelor's Degree, in Computer Science, Statistics, or a comparable discipline is preferred, with prior experience in data analysis or a related field in the apparel industry 3-4 years of experience in a data analysis position Possess a solid foundation in statistics and practical experience with statistical software (Excel, SAS) Capable of critically evaluating data to derive meaningful, actionable insights Demonstrate superior communication and presentation capabilities, adept at simplifying complex data insights for audiences without a technical background Exhibit exceptional analytical abilities to compile, structure, examine, and present substantial data sets with precision and thoroughness How to Apply: All interested internal candidates must submit an Internal Job Application.
