Purpose: The Women's Sportswear Merchandise Manager will report to the VP of Merchandising. You will be responsible for developing and executing merchandising strategies that meet company financial targets and marketing objectives. You will build competitive product lines that fulfill the consumer needs in DTC and wholesale. If this sounds like your kind of adventure, read on!
Develop and execute seasonal product strategies and action plans that directly align with divisional strategies and meet or exceed departmental goals. Work with planning to establish framework for brand assortment that aligns with objectives by dept., category, series, product life cycle, price, and delivery. Manage the selection of an optimal product assortment within the financial framework that meets or exceeds sales and margin plans. Coordinate clear and compelling product stories by month including hero items, key styles, and novelty that supports. Work with marketing and visual to execute. Oversee seasonal buy plans for all styles at a high level with detailed ownership of buy plans for novelty styles. Monitor and track sales and sell-through on a weekly basis and work with Planning on managing product selling life cycle. Identify opportunities to chase. Analyze current season department/category selling data to inform future merchandising strategies. Maintain up to date knowledge of market trends, regularly provide feedback to merchandising leadership on competition and EB customer experience. Analyze market and consumer data inputs: Industry data, consumer insights, and First Insight testing in order to build a competitive product line that fulfills the needs of consumers in both wholesale and DTC. Recruit, develop and retain Merchandising team to ensure delivery of exceptional results now and in the future. Build effective cross-functional relationships and skillfully navigate / influence business decisions as appropriate. Demonstrate a commitment to quality. Report and react to returns data and customer ratings/reviews. Direct procurement of product where applicable. Some travel may be required. Perform such other duties as directed by the supervisor Bachelor's degree in Retail Merchandising or related field. 5+ years Merchandise Management experience, preferably for a specialty apparel or fashion retailer. 3+ years managerial experience, leading a Merchandising team. Limited travel may be required, based on business needs. Adhere to regular in-office presence, including to engage in in-person team interaction, meetings and collaboration. Job duties may be performed effectively using the hybrid work program designated by the company. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor as the company retains the right to change duties to this position. Must have authorization to work in the United States. Hybrid schedule requires in-office attendance 3 days per week: Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays Physical Requirements:

The salary range for this position is $100,000 to $120,000 annually. Pay is based on several factors, including but not limited to position offered and work experience. In addition to your salary, SPARC Group, and its affiliated brands, offers a benefits package, including 401(k) plan, overtime pay, flexible work schedule and a generous employee discount program (all benefits are based on eligibility).
