A Member Experience & Graphic Designer at Clarity means being a go-to leader for both client program design and asset creation. As a strategist, you will be responsible for designing multi-channel consumer experiences that incorporate behavioral science to support optimal engagement while also meeting B-B client guidelines. As a tactician, you'll bring those experiences to life through the development of consumer-facing correspondence in the form of print mail, email, and SMS modalities. You'll ensure copywriting for print, text and email assets is expressed in a way that integrates behavioral design principles and supports client's member engagement strategies.  As the first designer dedicated to Product Innovation at Clarity, you will also define and administer best practices to build a library of communications that are scalable, reusable, and effective. You'll be a cross-functional force that builds bridges and drives conversations to ensure success for health plan members, our customers, and Clarity. If you're a designer who leads with curiosity and is excited by defining the undefined, creating strategies, and executing end-deliverables, then this opportunity is for you! Essential Functions Design & create print and digital communications to align with best practices, research, and industry requirements. Architect user flows and journey maps that support strategies beneath graphic design assets. Advocate for consumer best practices in journey maps and graphic design assets that optimize engagement and action. Communicate design ideas using techniques including product concepts, service models, member journeys, system maps, or infographics. Stays informed around deep behavioral science research and insights in order to create relevant, impactful communications. Develop and manage a creative library that houses all white label solutions. Version templates for client implementations and make edits as requested. Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Operations, Finance, Account Management, and Sales to create experiences that meet client, member, and Clarity needs.  Work closely with our print production facility, Clarity Output Solutions, to design print templates that align to functionality and optimize capabilities. Analyze performance results and behavioral analytics to continuously improve designs. Advocate for the user's needs, wants, and expectations when making creative decisions. Educate internally and externally the "why" behind design choices to showcase Clarity as an engagement leader. Education Required A 4-year degree in Graphic Design or related programs in Visual Communications. Master's degree in business psychology, strategy, marketing, or related field preferred. Knowledge & Experience A minimum of 7 years' related experience, with 5 years focused on graphic design. Proven track record in demonstrating strong human-centered design capabilities across a range of experience projects. A background with prototyping and testing, future visioning, and strategy development. Prior experience facilitating discussions, presenting materials and ideation activity with clients is preferred. InDesign, Microsoft Office, Adobe, proficiency. Demonstrated design skills with a strong portfolio. Experience being the creative lead for print and digital. Highly skilled at collaborating cross-functionally. Understands the ins-and-outs of creative production. Experience designing in the healthcare industry is a plus. Occasional business travel is required for this role. Personal Attributes Designs with all users in mind—member, customer, and Clarity—along with varying levels of accessibility. Thinks outside-the-box, designing engaging experiences in a regulated industry. Strong and confident leader who has a "roll-up-their sleeves" mentality. Self-starter work ethic who finds opportunities to improve our products versus being delegated projects. Expert at receiving feedback and knowing when and how to advocate for design choices. Independently manages work, always meeting timelines for customers and teammates.  Physical Demands Must be able to sit at a desk 85 percent of the time. Must be able to operate a computer and other office products (i.e., a computer printer). Must be able to frequently communicate via telephone and/or Teams.
