Responsibilities
• Assisting qualified donors in completing the screening process• Performing health screening procedures and obtaining donor samples• Educating new donors on the use of therapeutic products made from donated plasma• Registering applicants and transfer donors• Answering telephone calls and transferring calls to appropriate staff• Monitoring donor reactions during and after the pheresis process• Alerting Group Leader or Supervisor of donor flow issues• Accurately recording donor data in the electronic information management system• Maintaining a clean work environment and sufficient supplies• Following safety policies and procedures• Maintaining confidentiality of personnel and donor information• Cross-training in other areas as needed• Possibly requiring bilingual skills• Performing other job-related duties as assigned
Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent• Minimum of three (3) months experience in a clerical or customer service related position• Basic math calculation skills• Ability to understand and apply oral and/or written instructions• Ability to see, speak, and observe equipment operation• Physical tasks such as standing, walking, reaching, bending, kneeling, lifting, and carrying• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions• Exposure to hazardous chemicals, extreme temperatures, and blood borne pathogens• Wearing Personal Protective Equipment• Ability to work overtime and extended hours
