Presbyterian Medical Group seeks a Board Eligible / Board Certified Medical Oncologist - Hematology/Oncology to join our established practice in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Our team of surgical oncologists, radiation oncologists, oncology certified nurses, research staff, radiation therapists, dosimetrists, physicists, nurse navigators, social workers, psychologist, and dietitians work together to incorporate the latest research and treatment options to create the best treatment plan for each patient.
Practice Highlights
Join a busy practice of 10 medical oncologists/hematologists and dedicated advanced practice clinicians Exceptional Support by triage RN's and MA's assigned to each physician, as well as comprehensive support team. Member of the New Mexico Cancer Care Alliance for clinical trials Weekly Tumor Board Systemwide Epic Beacon electronic medical record (EMR) system Summary
Diagnose and treat cancer in adults using chemotherapy, hormonal therapy, biological therapy, and targeted therapy. Medical oncologist works in collaboration with the supportive care team and may coordinate treatment given by other specialists. Hematology includes diagnosis and treatment of blood disorders
Responsibilities
In alignment with NCCN guidelines, order and oversee diagnostic testing; prescribe treatment and supportive medications; collaborate with the care team to include palliative care, psychology, social work, PT, OT, Speech, dietician, nursing, research to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Oversee care provided by Advanced Practice Clinicians, as required by provider licensure. Participate in process improvement which drives standard of care across the continuum. Participation in tumor board(s) is required.

Qualifications
M.D. or D.O. with fellowship in Medical Oncology and Hematology
BC/BE Medical Oncology and Hematology
NM Medical License
Demonstration of CARES behaviors and the practice of collaborative care
3-5 years minimum experience preferred
