Job summary
Seeking a Medical Officer to support the National Institutes of Health's National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) in Bethesda, MD.Candidates will work as a contractor team member to support ongoing research activities.Opportunity to make a difference in healthcare and global health.
Job seniority: director level and above
Responsibilities
• Participate in the review, planning, and implementation of clinical trials for HIV/AIDS and related co-infections.• Advise program management on merits and deficiencies of clinical studies.• Provide subject matter expertise during protocol development and IND applications.• Evaluate IND annual reports for medical safety and report findings.• Ensure subject safety and protocol adherence in protocol follow-up stages.• Provide clinical and scientific information for communications with FDA and other agencies.• Conduct site visits to obtain additional data and information for program evaluation.• Review serious adverse event reports and provide medical advice.• Minimum of 20+ years of experience in clinical trials research.
Requirements
• Medical degree from an accredited university.• Minimum of 20+ years of experience in clinical trials research.• Successful completion of a Public Trust-level background check is required.
