Position Summary/Description: In the role of Medical Education Administrator, this position assists with the management and direction of the Medical Education Division, ensuring the effective running of the Division and Educational Programs. The position provides administrative support to the Director of Undergraduate Medical Education, the Medical Education Division Director, and the Medical Education Division Manager and manages daily operations of the Medical Education Office. This includes providing essential information to the public about our educational programs, processing reimbursements and travel requests and other core administrative needs. This position actively manages key aspects of the Medical Education Division evaluation programs. This position is the primary administrative resource to faculty and residents for second, third, and fourth year course coordination for our department.
Every year, our departmental undergraduate programming educates over 300 medical students in the basic clinical, didactic, and operative concepts and procedures of obstetrics and gynecology. The coordination of these programs involves responsibilities for functions and services that are provided for the students, faculty, and staff of the UNC School of Medicine. These functions include but are not limited to gathering information, planning and executing student schedules, lecture syllabi, and faculty support.
This position will be required to work 5 Saturdays out of the year to help the Educational Divisional activities (4 Saturdays for interviews and 1 Saturday for graduation banquet). Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalency and one year of related office experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
