Position Summary:
This is a fully remote opportunity, available to candidates residing in the United States. As advocates for impactful healthcare services, we are seeking a passionate Medical Billing Associate with a strong background in professional billing. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge and experience in medical billing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage Full Cycle Billing operations to ensure comprehensive support for client accounts.
Collaborate closely with the Operations Team Lead to facilitate project expectations and progress communication between clients.
Demonstrate proficiency in software systems, full cycle billing, and process development while assisting large physician groups with professional billing procedures and follow-up.
Foster effective communication and teamwork among managers and team members to meet account expectations.
Essential Functions:
Resolve billing issues and claim denials requiring clinical expertise.
Research and resolve claim denials and rejections for assigned clients.
Take ownership of assigned client accounts for all aspects of the billing cycle, including Charges, Payments, and AR metrics.
Adhere to deadlines and timeframes for customer and company needs.
Contribute to the development of processes and procedures for each assigned account.
Monitor industry trends and issues to identify potential organizational impacts.
Regularly communicate with assigned clients to address identified trends and recommend solutions.
Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
1-2 years of Medical Accounts Receivable experience.
Proficiency in ICD-10 and CPT coding.
Strong organizational and teamwork skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Medical Billing Software Systems.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Familiarity with full cycle revenue models and healthcare industry auditing practices.
Ability to interpret medical documents and claims-related documentation.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong technical abilities, including proficiency in PM/EHR Software, Excel, Outlook, MS Office, and web-based tools.
Experience with Athena software is preferred.

Salary Range: $18 - $20 per hour. Final compensation is based on individual qualifications, experience, and location. This position is bonus eligible.
