The Holloway Community Program at ChristianaCare is looking for a Medical Assistant .
The Holloway Community Program at ChristianaCare is located at 501 W 14th Street Wilmington DE 19801. This position in an unforeseen circumstance, may be asked to cover other Medical Assistant duties at our Smyrna and Georgetown locations.
The Holloway Community Program at ChristianaCare w as established in October of 1989. Since its inception, the Holloway Community Program has been the major care provider for people with HIV/AIDS throughout the state of Delaware. It is estimated that the HIV Program provides care to 65 percent of the people in Delaware who are HIV-positive and accessing medical services.
The Holloway Community Program has a staff of 51 professionals, including five board-certified infectious-disease doctors, board-certified internal-medicine doctors, an OB/GYN provider, nurses and nurse practitioners, pharmacists, a psychiatrist, and behavioral health consultants.
As a medical assistant you will be responsible for assisting physicians in the examination and treatment of patients with virtual and on-site appointments. You will also be responsible to deliver quality patient care and to perform other clinical and clerical duties within the practice.
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday - 8:30a to 5p Compensation / Benefits: Full Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, etc. Two retirement planning offerings, including 403(b) with company contributions. Education Requirements: High School Graduate or GED required. A graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant Program or hold current Medical Assistant Certification by a national organization accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) or the American National Standards Institute (ANSI).
