Responsibilities
• Coordinate patient flow and assist in clinical data collection and review• Enter pertinent history in the medical record• Perform and assist with clinical procedures as directed by the provider• Perform designated business processes associated with outpatient visits• Serve as a resource and provide cross coverage as needed• Greet patients and verify patient identity• Prepare exam rooms and clinic equipment for outpatient visits• Room patients and ensure required documents are with the patient• Perform clinical duties such as obtaining vital signs and specimens• Assist with patient examination/treatment and administer vaccines/medications
Requirements
• Successful completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program• Minimum of 6 months experience required• Current AHA BLS Certification required• Preferred: Certification as a medical assistant (CMA, RMA, NCMA, CCMA)
