Job Summary
The Media Services Technician coordinates the support of all campus event Audio/Visual needs. The Media Service Technician must be courteous, professional, and customer service oriented at all times. The Technician will be responsible for providing support for A/V needs for events that may happen outside of regular business hours.



Position Duties & Responsibilities Coordinates support for all campus audio and visual needs in accordance with media policies Leads and develops the campus media services team Prioritizes and assigns resources to requests Establish and enforce standards of excellence for campus events Troubleshot A/V systems to maintain proper functioning Maintain and organize inventory of A/V resources and recommend purchases Recommend improvements to media equipment and systems Create documentation for system configuration and operation and configuration Coordinate with other departments to plan and execute for event success Manage vendor and contractor relationships Additional duties as assigned Experience & Qualification Requirements: Customer service experience Experience supporting live sound events, including design, set up and operation of sound, lighting and video systems Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a related field Working Conditions / Special Requirements Bushnell employees must have a maturing Christian faith and live in compliance with the duties and expectations as detailed in the Employee Handbook. The position requires a strong ability to communicate effectively and succinctly, both verbally and in writing, utilizing tact, patience and courtesy. Listening skills and the ability to speak and write clearly are essential to this position. Must possess exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. The employee must have high personal motivation, with great attention to detail and accuracy. This person must project a positive, vibrant and professional attitude in assisting people. This person must have high ethics of honesty and confidentiality, with a genuine and gracious presence pertaining to the students, faculty, staff and business of the department and the University.
