1.0 Media Assistant McGuire Elementary Open Position: Media Assistant – McGuire Elementary School (7.0 Hours Per Day)
Required Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent As partners in the instructional process, paraprofessionals who work in programs supported with Title I funds must meet one of the following requirements: Complete at least two years of study at an institution of higher education (equal to 60 semester hours); or Obtain an associate's degree (or higher); or Meet a rigorous standard of quality and demonstrate, through a formal state or local academic assessment. (Example: Work Keys Test, MTTC, ETS Parapro Assessment, etc.) Experience and skill using word processing program (s), spreadsheets(s), database and keyboarding Professional tact, diplomacy and presentation with administrators, staff, teachers, students, parents and community members Ability to maintain confidentiality Competency in oral and written communications Proficiency in math Preferred Qualifications: Successful work experience as a secretary Experience in a public school setting Successful work experience as a data processor Post- secondary course work in job related areas Job Description Details Reports To: Building Principal
