Title: Med/Surg Registered Nurse II Responsibilities: Keep meticulous records as to medication and treatment administration to ensure continuity of care between nursing staff, physicians and other treatment team members. The Registered Nurse (RN) is a licensed professional who uses the BSWH nursing professional practice model to coordinate patient care delivery by the health care team. Using the nursing process, the RN assesses the patient, identifies nursing diagnoses based on responses to health problems, develops and implements an individualized plan of care, and evaluates the patient's response. Knowledge and understanding of nursing and patient care standards and procedures. Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans in consultation with healthcare professionals. Provides for safety in the coordination and delivery of care. Consistently communicates with patients by listening attentively and providing feedback to ensure that all needs are met in a timely manner. Keeps patients pain well controlled.
