We are seeking a Med Surg Nurse, internally referred to as our Telemetry Nurse at St John Hospital a member of Prime Healthcare. A dedicated nurse specializing in attending to patients within medical-surgical units, especially those needing cardiac monitoring. Our Med/Tele RN is instrumental in overseeing the safety, comfort, and overall well-being of individuals needing cardiac surveillance during their hospitalization.  Bonus Options: up to $20,000 (experience may be required) Shift's Available: Days

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to): assess patients' conditions, including vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and overall health status, to create individualized care plans monitor patients' cardiac rhythms and vital signs using telemetry equipment, which allows for remote monitoring of patients' heart rates and rhythms communicate with the physician about changes in the patient's clinical condition, including cardiac monitoring, results of diagnostic studies, and symptomatology administer medications as prescribed by physicians, including intravenous medications, and monitor patients for any adverse reactions provide hands-on care to patients, including wound care, administering treatments, assisting with activities of daily living, and providing emotional support educate patients and their families about their conditions, medications, and treatments, as well as provide guidance on self-care practices and lifestyle modifications respond quickly to changes in patient conditions throughout shift and be able to address any concerns to the physician as soon as possible maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, documenting patients' conditions, treatments, and responses to interventions follow established protocols and policies established by your department, Human Resources or any department in which guidelines must be met other duties and responsibilities maybe assigned depending on department need and growth Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers. You must have:  current and valid state RN License current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current It will be great if you also happen to have these qualifications but not required: current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current previous Acute Care hospital experience ventilator management experience Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) As we all know, compensation isn't just the salary.
