Blast Cleaning Technologies, Inc. (BCT) has a temporary Mechanical Engineering Intern position available at our Foundry (in West Allis, WI) supporting the team this summer!
Blast Cleaning Technologies is one of the fastest growing shotblast manufacturers in the world. Located in the historic renovated Allis Chalmers building in West Allis we are proud to announce the expansion of our manufacturing to include a new state-of-art Cast Products facility which is also located in West Allis. Our new Cast Products facility will feature the latest technology for the precision casting of shot blast wear components as well as utilization of new eco-friendly products that will create a cleaner working environment. We are looking for motivated Engineering Student interested in learning more about the foundry industry, ready to contribute to all areas of our plant to create a truly remarkable, world-class facility.
**This position would be temporary throughout the summer months to assist the Foundry Team in all necessary areas.**
General Description Under the direction of the Foundry Project Managers, the Process Engineer Intern will support the development of BCT's new foundry called BCT Cast Products, LLC. This intern will have exposure to the development of foundry infrastructure, foundry quality systems, foundry processes, gating design, and fixturing design. In addition, the intern will have the opportunities to develop their professional communication skills with various team members and vendors.

Entry level position will provide manufacturing process engineering support by doing the following:
Perform calculations and design tooling in accordance with standards and instructions provided. Use SolidCast and FlowCast to provide the best case first article samples. Work with an ERP system to create Bill of Materials and Processes Assist in communication and documentation of daily project status. Attend foundry, heat treat, and tooling equipment design reviews as necessary Lead or participate in development of SOPs for all areas of the foundry. Strong interpersonal and written skills with desire to be an active team member. Demonstrate proficiency with computer skills Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel, or Smartsheet Familiarity with a 3D software program (SolidWorks, Pro-E, etc.) Education and/or Experience Familiarity with SolidCast concepts Working towards a bachelor's or associates degree in Engineering from an accredited university BCT is hiring!
