Mechanical Engineer

Key Duties:
Prepare designs for mechanical systems associated with DOD and USAF projects.
Support the design development of mechanical systems and equipment for the Sentinel program project by preparing studies, drawings, calculations, specifications, and evaluations following applicable procedures, codes, standards, and contract requirements.
Work with Mechanical Engineers and other technical disciplines in a team environment. Develop design drawings. Perform formal calculations. Size equipment and systems. Develop equipment and material specifications. Develop procurement documentation. Develop design configuration packages for configuration control and change management. Design Building Information Modeling and coordinate with other disciplines. Review vendor submittals and integrate information into the design solution. Execute schedule requirements while maintaining a high degree of quality in work product. Coordinate closely with other technical disciplines in planning and executing work as an integrated team. Required Skills, Experience, and Education:  6 or more years of relevant experience, including drawings, calculations, and specifications for mechanical systems and equipment in nuclear or industrial process facilities, data centers, central utility plants, or complex building mechanical systems. Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written). Ability to utilize engineering and office automation tools effectively. Experience developing equipment configuration packages for procurement and maintenance. Knowledge of industry and regulatory guides, codes, and standards, as well as customer corporate guides and standards. Broad knowledge of the application of Mechanical Engineering design principles. Registered Professional Engineer in the US (Mechanical or related Engineering). HVAC experience. Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
