JOB DESCRIPTION Summary/Objective The Mechanical Design Engineer position will focus on developing bills of materials and design specification prints for aqueous parts washers. Focus will be on fabrication design, mechanical systems design, and specification development for all aspects of the aqueous parts washers.

Assess project requirements, budgets, timescales and specifications Manage product design and release from inception to production approval, including continuous support throughout the production process Develop engineering standards and specifications Develop and maintain Bills of Materials (BOM's) for custom and standard equipment. Develop test specifications and protocols Review, approve and revise engineering change requests and BOM change requests. Work Environment
This job operates in the office and on the production floor. Production floor work is performed in a high noise level production environment on concrete floors with varying temperature from 55 to 95 degrees F. Safety requirements for this position are safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel-toed work boots. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines as well as material handling equipment and production equipment.

The employee is regularly sits and is occasionally required to climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Evening and weekend work are required as job duties demand.
Travel 10% US and international.
Required Education and Experience Regular and consistent attendance B.S. Degree in Engineering with emphasis in Mechanical or Industrial disciplines 5+ years' experience in mechanical design required Extensive knowledge of metal fabrication processes and mechanical/hydraulic systems Six Sigma certification would be considered an asset, working knowledge of an MRP would be considered an asset Extensive knowledge of materials, tooling, machine tools, and/or manufacturing processes Experience in quality assurance systems Experience with AutoCAD and Inventor Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
