Based in our client's Roseville, Minnesota location, the Mechanical Engineer will join a collaborative Engineering team that handles all design responsibilities for three business units: manufacturing, HVAC-R, and compressed gas. This team is cross-functional but focused on their respective fields and is the driving force behind innovation.

of $90,000-100,000 annually, depending on experience

What You'll do:
As the Mechanical Design Engineer, you will provide engineering-level capabilities and execute product development for new and custom products. A strong mechanical aptitude is desired. Your work will cover specific business cases and new product request information to develop products.
To succeed, you should have:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and 1-3 years relevant design engineer experience.
Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of basic machining principles.
Proficient in solid model CAD and able to adapt products from standard designs.
Skilled in designing and developing new products from detail to prototype, testing, and production support.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities, with strong problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a desire to make a difference and work collaboratively with internal and external teams.
Your responsibilities as the Mechanical Design Engineer will include:
Develop new products from concept to production, including layout, prototyping, testing, and documentation.
Research, design, and calculate FEA, DOE, and FMEA for specialty connector components or assemblies.
Create and maintain solid models, manage CAD environment, and execute standard tests for reliability engineering.
Coordinate procurement, manufacturing, and testing for custom applications and product enhancements.
Conduct design reviews, manage BOM accuracy, and ensure schedule adherence for product commercialization.
Provide training and support to manufacturing staff, communicate design status, and lead cross-functional teams for product improvement.
Continuously seek process improvements, evaluate product issues for corrective action, and independently manage projects to completion.
