What You Can Expect
As an Auto Mechanic you will maintain all company vehicles by inspecting and testing, completing preventive maintenance such as, engine tune-ups, oil changes, tire rotation, wheel balancing, replacing filters and brakes. In addition, you will:
Maintain vehicle records by recording service and repairs
Keep shop equipment operating; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
DOT inspection
Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.
To Be Successful
2-3 years of strong automotive mechanical diagnosis, and experience with gas and diesel trucks.
Valid Drivers License
To Be Successful
The work requires some physical exertion such as long periods of standing, walking, recurring bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching or similar activities, and lifting a minimum of 50lbs assisted or unassisted.
