About the Role: Disassemble, assemble and test hydraulic components.
Job Responsibilities: Inspect, diagnose and perform major and minor repair work on hydraulic pumps, motors, valves and other related hydraulic equipment and assemblies. Including dis-assembly, assembly and testing of above componentsOperates a variety of hand, electric, and air-driven tools as well as a variety of diagnostic instrumentsTests, troubleshoots, services and repairs mechanical equipmentInspects, adjusts and replaces necessary parts in the performance of repair and maintenance work on hydraulic componentsAbility to write-up failure reports and bill of materials (BOMs) associated with the performance of repair and maintenance work.Performs other duties as assignedQualifications: Thorough knowledge of mechanics; considerable knowledge of hydraulics, pumps and valvesWorking knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions common to a shop working environment and repair activitiesWorking knowledge of the practices, methods, materials and tools used in modern equipment maintenanceSkill in operation of necessary tools and equipmentAbility to diagnose and repair a variety of mechanical problems with hydraulic components and equipmentUse of various hand and power-driven shop toolsCarry out assigned projects to their completionCommunicate effectively in English verbally and in writingEstablish and maintain effective working relationships with employees and supervisorsLift 30 poundsShift: Monday - Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 DOE Work Environment: Manufacturing plant shop environment.Exposure to moving mechanical parts. Exposure to elements such as odor, hydraulic fluids, noise, dust, heat, cold, or chemicals.Safety Glasses required.Safety Shoes required.Other PPE equipment as required.Clean shop floor working environment with a moderate to high noise level.
