As a Diesel Bus Mechanic Tech , you will diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines and vehicles. This hands-on role requires strong technical skills and attention to detail.
Duties:
- Perform routine maintenance on diesel engines, including oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues in diesel engines and vehicles
- Conduct inspections and diagnostic tests to identify problems and determine appropriate solutions
- Repair or replace faulty parts, such as fuel systems, brakes, transmissions, and exhaust systems
- Use power tools and specialized equipment to perform repairs and maintenance tasks
- Weld or fabricate parts as needed
- Operate heavy equipment, such as forklifts or industrial machinery, as required
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client concerns and answering questions
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines and their components
- Proficiency in using power tools and diagnostic equipment
- Familiarity with air brake systems, tractor-trailers, farm machinery, and automotive diagnostics
- Ability to weld and fabricate parts as needed
- Experience operating forklifts or other heavy equipment is a plus
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong customer service skills
