American Gypsum is hiring for a Mechanic C for the Maintenance department as a Full-Time job in Duke, Oklahoma .
The Mechanic C is an entry-level position of the Maintenance department. Mechanic C employees offer support and solutions to the equipment of the plant while also exercising the highest level of safety. The schedule is full-time, but overtime may be required depending on staff . T he Mechanic C reports to the Maintenance Superintendent or delegated authority.
Mechanic C Roles and Responsibilities:
Maintain a general knowledge of screws and conveyor equipment. Maintain a general knowledge of power transmission equipment. Maintain a general knowledge of fasteners. Ability and desire to learn and practice good housekeeping principles. Ability and desire to follow instructions. Ability and desire to learn and practice all Plant Safety and Compliance Programs. Required Skills & Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED A mechanical background or equivalent in his/her prior work history or successful completion of a trade school. Be certified to drive a fork truck. Must have a phone and understand that he/she will be subject to share callout responsibilities, in which every effort will be made to distribute equitably. Must be flexible with job duties. You may be required to fill in on other jobs or in other departments when the business or organization is short-handed. About American Gypsum
