Are you interested in positively impacting students' lives? We are seeking candidates for a collaborative, energetic, and innovative Mathematics position. Instructors are responsible for establishing and promoting an inclusive and effective learning environment to maximize student learning. Instructors may be assigned to teach Mathematics courses in a traditional classroom and/or blended/hybrid settings as needed in the Science & Mathematics Division at Delta College. SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : Demonstrate a commitment to the mission, vision, and values of Delta College. Demonstrate a philosophy of teaching that provides learning opportunities that meet the needs of all students. Teach at least 30 equated credit hours annually in a variety of settings including the main campus, Downtown Centers, Dual Enrollment partner locations, or online. Online modalities include hybrid, asynchronous, and synchronous. Focus on supporting and assessing student learning and academic achievement to promote student success. Teach a diverse student population including Dual Enrollment or Early College, first time college students, and returning learners Develop innovative, dynamic, and engaging learning environments that support student learning and success. Required Qualifications: Master's degree or higher in mathematics or related field with at least 18 contact hours of relevant coursework in the mathematics sub-discipline for which courses are taught, or a professional degree with relevant coursework Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communications skills Demonstrated commitment to Equity and Completion Demonstrated proficiency in relevant technologies Experience working in a diverse environment Commitment to creating an inclusive classroom climate and design curricula that foster greater sense of community Additional Experiences Considered: Ability to teach on a Delta campus and in an online setting Teaching experience at the community college level Recent experience in teaching mathematics using inclusive teaching practices Pedagogy is informed by belonging, equity, diversity and inclusion Online, Hybrid, or blended teaching experience Familiarity with learning management system software Demonstrated ongoing professional growth Demonstration of collegiality Ability to teach across disciplines Bilingual Special Instructions to Applicants: Complete an on-line application and attach a cover letter with position title, resume, and copies of transcripts (optional) and/or certifications and licenses.
