Responsibilities
• Coordinate departmental activity with the activities of the School and the University• Develop and implement school initiatives• Shape and support the School's missions and goals• Advocate for the department and the School• Ensure effective department organization and administration• Recruit and retain outstanding faculty and staff• Enhance inclusive excellence and mentor faculty and staff• Recruit, retain, and teach outstanding students• Lead departmental educational programs and curricula• Facilitate innovative, externally funded research
Requirements
• MD, DrPH, PhD, or related degree in an appropriate field• Eligible for appointment to the rank of Professor• Outstanding academic and research or practice accomplishments• Commitment to professional and public service, interdisciplinary collaboration, mentoring, and teaching• Ability to think and lead strategically, balance multiple priorities, and manage finances and human resources• Operational leadership, communication, and administrative abilities
