This position supports the Main Campus Service Center. The Materials Management Workleader, serves as the work leader while also performing various duties to provide support for the department. The workleader coordinates resources for daily assignments and coordinates work schedules. Your primary duties will include but are not limited to
Coordinating resources for daily assignments and coordinates work schedules to provide coverage for employee paid time off and key activities.
Distributing work to maintain departmental work flow and desk coverage for an assigned area.
Supervising the department function and resources in the absence of the manager.
Managing inventory tracking system to record deliveries, shipments and stock levels of products.
Meeting inventory goals by managing tracking systems and acting as liaison to other departments.
Monitoring demand and analyzes data to anticipate future supply and logistical needs.

Responsibilities: Monitors all areas to ensure product is being rotated first-in, first-out and that expiring product is removed in a timely manner. Assists with physical inventory process.  Counts and verifies products in inventory and reports discrepancies to upper management, as necessary. Administers return shipments of products in case of any shortages and damages and communicate same to vendor. Participates on project teams to build competency around specific department tools and methods for organizational performance improvement. Conducts quality monitoring by providing training, recommending improved processes and maintaining documented processes and procedures. Assists will all backorder management (research, backorder calls, substitutes, etc.) Assists with product recall management. Participates in daily huddles, as needed. Assists the Site Manager/Supervisor with dashboard maintenance and compliance. Functions as a super user with regard to all SCM systems. Interacts with clinical staff and suggests changes to stocking procedures to improve performance of department, par levels and inventory reduction. Assists in the development of departmental goals and implementation of new processes. Other duties as assigned. Education: High School Diploma / GED or equivalent required. Certifications: None required. Complexity of Work: Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Work Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in materials management, inventory operations or similar role.  Some leadership or experience providing work direction preferred. Strong computer skills, experience with inventory tracking systems strongly preferred. Able to analyze data and utilize findings to insure right product in right location. Physical Requirements: A high degree of dexterity, normal or corrected vision, extensive sitting and frequent walking, occasional lifting or carrying up to 25 pounds.
