3pm to 11:30pm Monday through Friday (overtime based upon production needs) Job Summary The job duties of a Materials Handler include working to receive in materials, stage, and inventory product. Provide resin materials to machine operators based upon job work order requirements. Primary responsibilities include providing materials to machine operators, and warehouse support. Primary Job Functions Loading and unloading trucks. Hi-low experience, training and certified. Follow all hi-low safety operations as required through your hi-low training certification. Physically able and capable to lift up to 50-pound materials (bags, or other materials) when needed. This is a fast-paced job position that requires frequent standing, reaching, bending, turning, lifting. Provide materials to injection mold machines, follow job order requirements. Preparing and wrapping skids for freight shipment. Receiving delivered materials, organize and stock. Assist with organizing warehouse materials. Purge dumpsters. Basic computer PC skills, comprehensive math and reading skills required. Handling, processing, and distributing different plastic materials and drying temperature parameters. Operate dryers. Use scales, mixers, and dryers to prepare resin materials according to process specifications operate hi-lo equipment and overhead crane as needed. Follow process for material storage and inventory system. Mix ratios and blend multiple materials for molding department. Cross-train to help with shipping coordinator duties, when needed. Self-motivated with good organizational and communication skills Work cooperatively and respectfully with co-workers and managers. Comply with company policies. Take direction from your manager and provide assistance to manager and co-workers when needed. Work effectively and respectfully with all co-workers and departments. Responsible for maintaining an organized and clean work area. Wear personal protective equipment (safety glasses) and follow company safety policy and procedures. Follow instructions and take directions from supervisor and process technicians when needed. Maintain excellent attendance and adhere to the department's attendance policy. Job may occasionally require use of precision measuring instruments; maintains accurate dimensional tolerances based upon job specification. Possesses and maintains thorough knowledge of industry, machinery, and techniques. Performs other related duties as assigned by supervisor. Education and Training
High school diploma or equivalent required Experience Minimum 1-year related experience is a plus Minimum 2-years' related experience Experience with injection molding - set-up and processing. Experience with injection molding, plastic processing, and system operation. Experience with micrometer, calipers and other measurement tools Experience with different plastic materials, ability to operate overhead crane, and to operate hi-lo Ability to read prints Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Excellent communication and basic math skills. Follow company policy and guidelines Working Environment / Physical Demands This position requires the ability to stand, stoop, and bend for a minimum of 8 hours per day. This position requires the manual dexterity sufficient to operate common manufacturing machinery and hand tools. Must speak clearly using the English language to accurately convey information and be able to hear at normal speaking levels. Must be able to visually read the work instructions, gages, and monitors required to complete daily tasks. Regularly required to lift up to 25 pounds, frequently required to lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally required to lift up to 100 pounds. Saftey Requirements Required to observe all safety standards and rules. Required to report all injuries to his/her supervisor and Human Resources within 24 hours.
