What's a typical day as a Material Handler? You'll be:
• Replenishing Kan Bans and monitoring Kan Ban levels by manufacturing line and/or cell.
• Responsible for inventory management of all floor stock items in the manufacturing areas.
• Supporting work order creation and data entry.
• Picking up recycling boxes and distributing tooling for production operators.
• Monitoring manufacturing line performance and rhythm.
• Transferring material as needed.
• Maintaining logbooks for optimum material flow.
• Ensuring correct material distribution to production operators.
• Providing sufficient raw materials to production operators.
• Communicating manufacturing line issues to appropriate personnel.
• Participating in quality investigations as required.
• Maintaining housekeeping of manufacturing areas.
• Completing trainings applicable to hazardous waste and complex chemicals handling.
• Packing and palletizing products for transport.
• Performing tasks related to ambient and storage within the JDE system.
• Adjusting hours of lots as needed.
• Monitoring and documenting environmental conditions for storage.
• Preparing and distributing solvent mixes for manufacturing processes.
• Shipping products to sterilization site.
• Replenishing gowning room supplies.
• Operating electric and/or manual pallet jacks and scissors lifts.
• Communicating business-related issues or opportunities to management.
• Ensuring compliance with regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Performing other duties as assigned.
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
• Have a high school diploma (Associate Degree preferred).
• Have two years of experience within a manufacturing environment or related fields.
• Are available to work overtime, various work schedules, including weekends and holidays.
• Have basic computer skills and knowledge of software applications.
• Have JDE System knowledge (preferred).
