Responsibilities: As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing materials with precision and care. Your role is vital in maintaining top-notch safety standards and operational efficiency.
Receive incoming materials, ensuring accuracy and reporting discrepancies. Safely store and organize materials in designated areas. Retrieve and distribute materials according to production schedules. Maintain accurate inventory records. Operate forklifts and other equipment safely and efficiently. Collaborate with the warehouse to replenish inventory. Communicate effectively with various departments for a smooth flow of materials. Safely operate a 26-foot box truck for material transport. Requirements: At least 18 age or older. 1-3 years of relevant warehouse or material handling experience would be beneficial. Must possess the ability to obtain a forklift certification and demonstrate proficiency in safely operating forklifts and other material handling equipment. Pass a pre-employment motor vehicle check with a clean driving record and no major traffic violations, accidents, or DUI convictions. Obtain and maintain a valid DOT medical certification. Ability to lift and carry heavy items up to 50 pounds individually and participate in team lifts for items exceeding 50 pounds.
