The Material Handler II at International Game Technology plays a crucial role in executing consistent material handling workflows, utilizing problem-solving techniques to ensure efficient warehouse operations. This position is essential for maintaining inventory availability and accuracy, impacting short-term production processes. The role requires adherence to established procedures and proper material handling techniques, with the potential to occasionally influence the work of other team members.
Move raw materials and parts throughout warehouse environment using hand and powered machinery, ensuring proper material handling techniques. Utilize SAP and other basic computer applications to document, maintain, and enhance workflows, executing a moderate volume of routine SAP transactions. Handle materials in receiving, picking, put away, bag and tag, shipping, and production support to maintain inventory availability and accuracy. Verify orders for accuracy and completeness, recognizing deviations from standard practices and taking appropriate next steps when needed. Monitor stock levels for inventory items, ensuring timely replenishment and accurate documentation of material movements. Perform material movement activities, accurately documenting and transacting movements in a timely manner to support short-term production operations. Operate and handle various warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, that may require internal certification, ensuring adherence to safety protocols. Locate materials in assigned areas and transport them as appropriate, maintaining efficient workflow within the warehouse. Use problem-solving techniques to address routine material handling tasks and improve processes, occasionally influencing the work of other team members. Qualifications Minimum high school diploma, GED or equivalent required. Must be at least 18 years of age. Ability to pass a security background investigation. Good verbal and written communication skills in English required. Must be able to stand for full shift. Ability to lift 30 lbs. regularly.
