DrVita is seeking Material Handlers to join our Warehouse team as we grow our company and expand our offerings and distribution channels. This position will play an important role in effectively meeting the needs of our customers in a dynamic, fast-moving environment. Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, the Material Handler works as part of a team by performing basic to complex tasks associated with the movement of product from one location to another; including sorting, stacking and labeling product, preparing and loading outgoing shipments, unloading and putting away incoming components and raw materials, pulling and staging materials for use in Production, and other warehouse activities as assigned.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supports company profitability by keeping the customer experience in mind at all times, and assuring that DrVita products are kept clean, free of defects and neatly organized Follows all appropriate warehouse safety and health protocols Understands and complies with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) as per Quality guidelines Moves products to and from loading docks, delivery vehicles, storage areas, and production areas, either manually or using equipment such pallet jacks, and standup forklifts Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing products in warehouse locations Accurately records location of inventory and specific product identifying information Prepares finished goods for shipment by locating, identifying, palletizing, wrapping, labeling and staging orders Replenishes finished goods picking locations Assists in maintaining the orderliness and cleanliness of the warehouse and company grounds by organizing, sweeping, disposing of refuse and other associated tasks as needed Provides support for other warehouse operational functions or special projects as directed Demonstrates a sense of urgency in the performance of daily functions Requirements Specific Skills: Ability to work independently and complete tasks with little or no supervision Proven computer skills sufficient to operate scan guns and enter product identification and location data into the company's computer system Has demonstrated proficiency in the accurate performance of all material handling functions, including shipping, receiving, production picking, inventory replenishment, etc. Ability to safely operate powered material handling equipment like forklifts, pallet jacks, etc. Must be accurate and detail-oriented Ability to lift and move up to 60 lbs on a repetitive basis Ability to walk, stand, bend, push, pull, lift, etc., for 8-10 hours daily Ability to identify and differentiate product by item, description, lot number and/or expiration date Education and Experience: High-school diploma or GED Previous warehouse or material handling work experience Mathematical Skills: Basic math skills and accurate counting ability Ability to comprehend and use the metric system for weights, volumes and lengths Ability to perform basic calculations needed to convert quantities between related units of measure Reasoning Ability: Ability to effectively carry out instructions furnished in written, oral and diagram form Ability to deal with challenges requiring logical analysis to determine the appropriate course of action Ability to work independently and use critical thinking to resolve job-related challenges Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Certified forklift safety training is preferred Benefits Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Healthcare and Dependent Flexible Spending Account Basic Life/Accidental Death & Dismemberment Short-term & Long-term Disability 401(k) Plan with up to 6% Match and Immediate Vesting Paid Time Off Holiday Pay Monthly Vitamin Allowance Business Casual Environment Benefits of working as a Material Handler in Las Vegas, NV:
