Position Description: The Marketing Specialist willwork on campus within the Office of Marketing and Public Relations, and its purpose is to execute comprehensive marketing campaigns thatenhance the visibility and reputation of the College. Through innovative strategies, creative content creation, and effective communication,the Marketing Specialist engages with diverse audiences, attracts prospective students, fosters community partnerships, and ultimatelycontributes to the continued growth and success of the institution. By leveraging data-driven insights and staying abreast of industrytrends, this integral team member is committed to promoting the College as a premier educational destination while embodying its values andmission.
Responsibilities: Create content for GPS pertaining to email, social media, print, web, pressand marketing materials. Ensure brand consistency throughout all publications in relation to graduate studies. Producecreative and written content for mass/promotional emails, social media, print, web, and other marketing materials. Conduct marketresearch to find answers regarding consumer behaviors, habits, and trends. Brainstorm and develop ideas for creative marketingcampaigns, focusing on graduate and professional studies (GPS) and assisting with other areas when/as needed. Collaborate with theGPS and marketing team, and other campus partners to coordinate brand awareness and marketing efforts. Plan and execute initiativesto reach the designated target audience through appropriate channels. Analyze market data to help shape future marketingstrategies. Manage internal project requests and multiple deadlines simultaneously. Work with the Web Systems Specialistto monitor, maintain, and continually improve the GPS website and social media communications. Monitor social media and providereports on marketing strategies on all digital platforms. Report detailed and accurate analytics. Work closely with theDirector of Marketing and Public Relations to facilitate media relations for GPS. Ensure brand consistency throughout all marketingpublications including branding, look, and voice. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree inmarketing or communication 3+ year in the marketing and/or graphic design field (preferred) Thorough understanding ofmarketing elements (including traditional and digital marketing such as SEO/social media etc.) and market research methods Knowledge of or certification in Google AdWords and Analytics (preferred) Experience with creating videos/using video editingsoftware(preferred) Must be a self-starter who thrives on juggling numerous high-visibility projects on fast and tight timetablesand is capable of handling pressure. Strong interpersonal and communication abilities (both oral and written). Solidcomputer skills, including MS Office, marketing software (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, & CRM). Well-organized anddetail-oriented Exceptional communication and writing skills. Commercial awareness partnered with a creative mind. Fulfill daily obligations face to face within the campus office, but demonstrate an ability, willingness, and flexibility to work somenights and weekends during busier seasons of on-campus activities. Maintain confidentiality of all departmental and institutionalinformation in accordance with the Privacy Act as well as established policies and procedures governing the release of information. Must possess the ability to collaborate tactfully with faculty, staff, students and the community.
