Goodwill Industries is seeking a Social Media/Marketing intern to help support the social media and marketing efforts of this non-profit organization.
The ideal applicant will possess strong knowledge of the digital media landscape, including various social media sites. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and posting on blogs and social networks, engaging in online forums, participating in online outreach and promotion. Those looking to gain valuable online media experience with an established organization are encouraged to apply
Essential Functions: Work with the on-site Goodwill leadership and Marketing Department to create and implement campaigns Develop content calendars on a weekly and monthly basis Create engaging blog and social media content Assist in the general distribution of press releases and media alerts Provide support to marketing team Other duties as assigned. Key Competencies: Integrity and respect for all, customer service, communication, teamwork, planning and organizing, personal development.
Specific Experience/Skills/Abilities: In pursuit of a Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Social Media, Marketing or related field Excellent oral and written communication skills In-depth working knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest and Google+ Experience with social media analytics, including Google Analytics and Facebook Insights Excellent writing skills Basic knowledge of Photoshop If you possess great organizational, writing and oral communication skills and are currently working on a related undergraduate degree we dare you to apply to this chance of a lifetime.
