Marketing Intern

Scope of Responsibilities: Works under direct supervision and may assist in marketing and communications initiatives as well as coordinating store-level and corporate events. Will assist with coordinating public relations activities, as well as writing and distributing internal and external communications. Will also assist with coordinating various community events.
Job Duties: Assists with writing internal announcements, press releases, new hire and promotion releases, newsletter content, in-store radio, Kinney sponsored events, and radio remotes. Assists with writing social media content and providing ideas for creative to accompany social media posts. Assists with the conceptions of print coupons and flyers for various events. Handles creating various themed gift baskets for radio giveaways, event giveaways, and social media giveaways. Responsible for working with Marketing Manager in putting together event totes and attending events when necessary. Responsible for making follow-up calls with outside organizations, agencies, store personnel etc. Interacts with marketing and merchandising personnel, store management and distribution center personnel as is necessary for projects. Responsible for completing all mandatory and regulatory training programs. Performs other duties as assigned. Education: Minimum: High School Dipolma or equivalent Preferred: AS Degree or Higher Required Special Conditions of Employment Drug test Initial and continuous exclusion and sanction/disciplinary monitoring Any and all additional eligibility requirements based on the specific position Compensation: $15.00 - 16.00 an hour
The final offer will be determined after careful consideration of multiple factors such as relevant skills, years of experience and education.
