POSITION SUMMARY
The Marketing Coordinator will contribute to existing marketing and communications programs while assisting in implementing new initiatives aligned with agency goals. The Marketing Coordinator has experience with a wide range of marketing functions, including communications, graphic design, events, brand awareness, digital marketing, and social media. The ability to multitask and handle many diverse projects at once, meet short deadlines, and prioritize is essential.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist in the implementation of marketing initiatives and strategies (including brand and digital strategies), ensuring increased visibility and consistent branding for Flood and Peterson with clients, employees, carriers, and other key community stakeholders
Working in close partnership with the Marketing team, use Adobe Suite to design and revise promotional materials for print and digital platforms, including: flyers, brochures, client presentation materials, advertisements, documents, forms, e-blasts, and social media
Assist in updating the Flood and Peterson website and blog to create and maintain audience engagement and involvement
Design monthly social media calendar, to organize and plan social media activity.
Provide graphic design content for engaging posts and images for Flood and Peterson social channels, including LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram
Maintain an inventory and directory of sales support material via the Flood and Peterson online Microsite; Ensure all resources are current and accurate and design new material as directed
Prepare all RFP requests in close partnership with the Marketing team and Risk Advisors; work with other team members through RFPIO to compose, edit, and deliver clear, concise, and timely proposals to potential clients
Maintain and coordinate all targeted databases/mailing lists for content marking and mail campaigns used by Risk Advisors and other departments
Effectively utilize departmental software programs including Agency Revolution, CVent, and RFPIO to attain maximum benefit and efficiencies
Coordinate marketing and communication for outreach events, including creating email invitations, posting to social media, tracking attendance, and coordinating post-event follow up
Manage the coordination of sponsorship requests and community/non-profit events, including obtaining proper approval, providing logos and other marketing materials, distributing tickets to event, and obtaining invoices.
Manage the participation in trade show/booth events and conferences, including obtaining proper approval, providing logos and other marketing materials, obtaining promotional items if needed, and ensuring proper attendance at the event
In coordination with the committee, assist with executing and planning the annual Symposium event
Manage inventory of promotional items, including ordering items with proper approval, distributing to appropriate people for events and other needs, and providing logos and designs for promotional items
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities but is expected to mentor new team members and lower level positions. Promptly inform Supervisor/Manager of all matters that may give rise to an E&O claim.
COMPENSATION INFORMATION
At Flood and Peterson all full time employees are eligible for benefits, including Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life insurance, paid time off, paid holidays, and paid Volunteer Time Off. Full time employees are also eligible to participate in our excellent 401k program, which includes both safe harbor and discretionary matching. We also offer several other voluntary insurance programs including expanded Life, Disability, Accident, Critical Illness/Event, and legal services. In addition to regular pay, this position is eligible to participate in our annual performance incentive program.
Starting pay for exempt position is $24-$27/hourly . Pay may exceed this range for well-qualified candidates, commensurate with experience.
Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Work Experience
Bachelor's or Associate's degree in marketing, advertising, communications, graphic design, or business is preferred. Or two years of related experience and training; or equivalent education and experience.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Powerpoint, and Word).
Must be proficient in Adobe InDesign and Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator and Photoshop).
Prior graphic design experience required.
Prior experience with content marketing, advertising, branding, digital marketing, and social media preferred.
Experience with marketing automation software.
Excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills.
Must be an organized multitasker, must be able to handle numerous projects at once, and meet tight deadlines.
Must be able to communicate effectively with the agency Sales team and pose questions to draw out the needs and wants to meet the Sales team requests effectively.
Strong attention to detail.
Experience with WordPress, website maintenance, and creating and posting social media digital materials

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The role requires mobility and the ability to move independently. Tasks primarily involve office and desk work, including manual dexterity tasks such as typing, handling objects, reaching, and utilizing hands for various activities. Additionally, the role includes talking, hearing, and sitting for extended periods of time. Occasionally, lifting objects weighing up to 25 lbs. is necessary. The office environment typically features moderate noise levels, including sounds from computers, printers, and moderate foot traffic.
