Narture of Work:
Plans and assigns mapping integration of real property data, public works infrastructure, and geospatial data into the Public Works mapping application. Manages, plans, assigns, and reviews data for integration into the Geospatial Mapping Application from external data creators and City of Orlando staff. Manages the activities of staff to implement data management standards and product deliverables; typical deliverables are the productions of maps, applications, reports, analyzations of data, and visualizations for internal and external stakeholders. Assesses static and analytical data for Public Works and City use in establishing data standards for the Public Works Department and other entities that access Public Works datasets. Work is performed under the general supervision of the City Surveyor. Work is reviewed upon completion through conferences, oral reports, written reports, and evaluation of results obtained.
Minimum Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Geomatics, Cartography, Geography, Engineering, Surveying, GIS, or related field plus five (5) years GIS manager or GIS project manager experience managing multiple data sources; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. GISP certification desired. Valid Florida Driver's license required.
