Manufacturing Planner Location Saint Charles, MO : Plans and prepares assembly/production procedures (work orders) in manufacturing plant. Responsibilities: Draws up master planning to establish sequence and lead time of each operation to meet shipping dates according to sales forecasts or customer orders Works directly with quality department to ensure master files are accurate to latest revisions and specs Assists the Manufacturing Engineering department to determine workflow for each department and operation according to previously established manufacturing sequences and lead times Plans sequence of fabrication, assembly, installation, and other manufacturing operations for guidance of assembly/production workers Confers with department supervisors to determine status of assigned projects Expedites operations that delay schedules and alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditions Supports the development of assembly/production reports, prepares list of and purchase order of required materials, toll and equipment. Interprets customer blueprints Requirements: Trade school, vocational education, apprenticeship or bachelor's degree Up to 5 years as an assembly/production planner in the aerospace and/or machine shop experience in the production planning field Knowledge of CATIA models, Unigraphics NX, and MRP systems a plus. Some familiarity with Microsoft Suite (word, excel, access) Must be able to remain at workstation for extended periods of time Accommodation as required for reading computer screens and documentation Normal office environment.
