Who will you be working with? Our best-in-class Manufacturing Engineering team combines knowledge of customers' needs processes with deep domain expertise and tenured experience to deliver unparalleled quality services to our internal and external customers. Here you'll interact daily with the internal and external customer during the problem resolution process and will partner with other key stakeholders to support our customers and their operations.
How will you make a difference? As a member of the Manufacturing Engineering Team of Wabtec Bus Solutions, you will be responsible for The Manufacturing Engineer Supervisor will play a key role bringing industry-leading products to market. A person who is a self-starter and comfortable juggling multiple projects concurrently with minimal oversight. Must have a passion to exceed our expectations when it comes to overseeing the development of manufacturing process, selecting and implementing new technology to the manufacturing floor, and ensuring that designed products meet manufacturing and system requirements.
The ideal candidate will plan, and direct activities concerned with development, application, and maintenance of quality standards for industrial processes, materials, and products by performing the following activities.
What do we want to know about you? Bachelor's degree in Engineering 5+ years' experience in leading people and projects in areas of Manufacturing systems, Facility management, and project completion, or equivalent experience. Working knowledge of CAD 3D modeling, Creo or Solidworks preferred. Understanding of Stage Gate and NPD processes. Experience in the transit/commercial vehicle industry a plus. What will your typical day look like? Working with manufacturing employees on a daily basis to ensure quality products are produced. Working with company ERP system. Lead Manufacturing team to ensure efficiencies are reviewed, Safety of machines and components are reviewed and adhered to. Ability to work with all levels of the company. What about the physical demands of the job? Work in moderate weather conditions - humidity and heat. Work around moving parts. Wear Steel Toed Shoes and Safety Glasses with side shields. Ability to lift of up to 10 lbs. frequently and 25 lbs. infrequently. Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with employees, customers, and managers of the company. Ability to read and review blue prints, BOMs and schematics. You may also be asked to perform other duties outside of your function or trade, for which adequate training will be provided if necessary.
