Summary: The manufacturing engineer develops and improves manufacturing processes by studying product and manufacturing methods.
Requirements: Essential Role and Responsibilities: Evaluate and develop manufacturing processes by applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials, conferring with equipment vendors and soliciting operator input Implement process improvements relating to quality, productivity, equipment reliability, safety and yield Provide engineering support related to process modifications for new product development Provide manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs, reviewing production schedules and estimating future requirements Prepare product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends Lead process improvement by identifying root causes of specific quality & operations issues by gathering & evaluating relevant data & working with QA, R&D and Maintenance Maintain product integrity and company reputation by complying with company policies Equipment oversight – training, operation – programming, process development, troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
