Manufacturing Engineer

Broadwind Heavy Fabrications thinks BIG about our Engineering team! We are searching for a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in Manitowoc, WI. This position will design and implement manufacturing related tools, processes, and methods that will positively impact the efficiency, productivity, and profitability of the company. This role will have hands-on involvement from initial quotation through product shipment.RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (May include some or all of the following responsibilities)Perform any or all of the necessary tasks related to a product fabrication:Interpret customer technical specifications and assist in clearly communicating requirements to manufacturing floor through drawings or work instructions.Support manufacturing documentation creation through routing definition, and ERP system support as needed.Program CNC and welding equipment.Design jigs and fixtures as needed.Lead process improvement initiatives using Lean tools and methods.Support identification and management of Capital Improvement projects.Support quick and accurate cost estimates including manufacturing strategy, initial routings, and special tooling requirements.
