Job Scope: The Manufacturing Engineer manages a variety of assigned projects in a responsive and timely manner from conception to completion. The Manufacturing Engineer will work closely with production to address both job and process specific issues. In addition, the Manufacturing Engineer will interface with internal and external customers with an emphasis is on problem solving and solution implementation.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist in developing equipment specifications and identify support equipment to improve productivity (material handling, finishing, inspection, testing, etc.) Process development, specification and documentation. Assist in vendor qualification, and review capabilities of suppliers Standardization of processes, methods, and designs. Upkeep of Maintenance Records. Estimate and document the projected cost of projects, monitor costs of projects assigned. RECOMMENDED QUALIFICATIONS: BSME (Bachelor of Science – Mechanical Engineering) or significant equivalent experience Ideally at least two years of engineering experience in an ISO certified manufacturing environment. Proficiency in CAD as well as office automation software and systems. The ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written). A common sense approach to problem solving and setting priorities is essential.
