The Manufacturing Chemist is responsible for performing tasks associated with the production of oligonucleotides in a dynamic fast paced GMP manufacturing environment. The position will also work closely with development and Quality teams to transfer and qualify new technology and processes from development into manufacturing.
This position is part of the Oligonucleotide Manufacturing team and will be located onsite in Bothell, Washington facilities. At Cepheid, our vision is to be the leading provider of seamlessly connected diagnostic solutions.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to: Analyze and process production materials using laboratory techniques and instrumentation (UPLCMS, spectrophotometers) Communicate and collaborate with coworkers to maximize production efficiencies and meet production deadline priorities Perform and document process steps according to defined GMP protocols Write and present data reports The essential requirements of the job include: Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering or a related field with 2+ years of benchtop laboratory experience OR Master's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering or a related field with 0+ years of benchtop laboratory experience Experience in a manufacturing environment and familiarity with instrumentation, production, and GMP documentation Ability to think logically, prioritize tasks, be organized, be self-motivated, and work effectively in a team environment Ability to perform primary job duties under minimal supervision It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in: Experience with automated equipment such as oligonucleotide synthesizers, preparative HPLCs, UPLCMS, and liquid handlers Cepheid, a Danaher company, offers a broad array of comprehensive, competitive benefit programs that add value to our lives. The salary range for this role is $90,000 - $100,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
