Job Description: The Manager, Volunteer Services performs all HR functions related to recruitment, on-boarding, and compliance for volunteers. Works with departments to design and implement opportunities for volunteers to enhance the capacity of staff and quality of the patient experience. Additionally, supports efforts and programming to engage staff in community impact projects and supports Program Director with other engagement initiatives. Active involvement with hospital/site leadership to meet the goals and objectives of the organization.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Communications, Business or related field. Experience providing leadership, supervision, and mentoring to volunteers. Experience managing budgets. Experience in event planning and management. Excellent written and oral communication skills Demonstrates strong customer service skills. Ability to manager performance standards and volunteer compliance. Understanding of HR law relating to roles of volunteers. Comfortable with preparing presentations and public speaking. Able to complete an analysis of volunteer activity including statistical data, outcomes and impact on the organization. Demonstrates continuous personal development related to increasing knowledge and professional growth. Ability to acknowledge, celebrate and sustain volunteer involvement. Understanding of cultural, age and ethnic diversity as it relates to volunteerism. Preferred Qualifications: Certification in Volunteer Administration (CAVS) preferred
