Manager – U.S. Learning & Development (L&D) Vendor Operations
In this role, you will manage the activities and projects associated with our US and US-India Learning & Development (L&D) Vendor Relationship Management portfolio. This program centralizes the management of L&D vendors to reduce risk, optimize spend, improve efficiency, and enhance the quality of vendor relationships and their respective products and/or services. You will oversee L&D vendor contracts, evaluations, performance monitoring, reporting, relationship management, third-party risk reviews, and related inquiries. Additionally, you will manage and support special projects to address continuously evolving business needs, including vendor implementations, strategic initiatives, and process improvement. You will work closely with stakeholders and colleagues across various areas of the firm, and report to the Senior Manager, Operations.
Work You'll Do + Manage the entire L&D portfolio of suppliers, evaluating and addressing contract expiration dates, needs, and challenges associated with each
+ Partner with internal stakeholders (CoRe Procurement, Talent Vendor Management, Talent Services, Digital Enablement, Office of General Counsel, Risk, ITS , Global L&D, and learning team leaders) to execute new relationship processes, extensions, amendments, risk reviews, acquisitions, terminations, etc
+ Collaborate with CoRe Procurement to lead RFI , RFP , and contract (re)negotiation activities, ensuring all activities follow appropriate compliance standards
+ Maintain market insights on vendor management leading practices, competitive pricing and performance standards, and advise leaders regarding recommendations
+ Partner with and advise stakeholders (Specialists thru Partners/Principals/Managing Directors) on appropriate use of vendors and identification of appropriate target vendors for their respective needs
+ Review and analyze reports to monitor the efficiency of each program, assess performance against KPIs, highlight concerns / successes, and identify opportunities for cost reductions and/or service enhancements on a continuous basis
+ Interact with the highest management level of vendors (CEO's, COO's, Sales VP's, etc.) to develop and foster mutually beneficial relationships and contribute to favorable agreement execution
+ Ensure annual Supplier Review Meetings are executed, allowing each vendor to brief key stakeholders on value / impact, challenges, market analysis, and additional offerings that may benefit Deloitte L&D
+ Provide consultation and support to the L&D organization's vendor technology review processes inclusive of business case development, vendor selection process, and direct support and/or advisement on third party risk reviews
+ Manage and support special projects to address continuously evolving business needs, including vendor implementation planning, course migration, and targeted compliance reviews
The Successful Candidate Will Possess + Ability to work independently and lead efforts on a variety of projects in a high volume, fast paced, and sometimes nebulous environment
+ Excellent organizational and planning skills
+ Demonstrated strong communication, written, and interpersonal skills and the ability to interface with a variety of levels including senior leaders both inside and outside of Deloitte
+ Ability to handle client relationships (internally and externally)
+ Strong listening, analytical, and decision-making skills necessary to resolve vendor issues
+ Proven ability as a sole contributor to fulfill requests and meet or exceed stakeholder expectations
Qualifications + Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
+ Minimum of 6 years of experience working in L&D (or related experience) operations or vendor management
+ Must be eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or in the future
+ Ability to travel up to 20%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
+ Knowledge of and experience in drafting and/or negotiating vendor contracts including business terms, statements of work, fee schedules, and service level agreements
+ Familiarity with L&D programs in a professional services organization (e.g., compliance, business-specific licensure or certifications, and e-learning courseware)
+ Experience researching, identifying, and evaluating vendors
+ Experience with global (non-US) L&D operations or vendor management in addition to US experience is preferred
+ Strong knowledge of Excel (pivot tables, etc.), Access (or other database tools), PowerPoint, Microsoft Project, Visio, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams e-room, and other knowledge management sites and other office/computer systems
- The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $88,600 to $181,900.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
