About This Opportunity As an Operations Manager with New Mexico Gas Company, you will be tasked with managing a team, leading work assignments, and fostering great relationships with various groups. You may be overseeing one or more gas operations functions, which include gas distribution and transmission, gas metering and service, or gas and new service delivery. Your knowledge and expertise of natural gas will be highly valued by your fellow team members and NMGC customers.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities This list does not reflect the job duties in their entirety Manages overall requirements, strategies, and new technologies related to the function Oversees thorough and accurate planning, forecasting, and design to ensure customer needs are met Provides technical expertise, direction, and promotes ideas for development of new procedures and processes to ensure goal achievement Represents the Company to various groups and maintains positive public relations with customers, contractors, agencies, community leaders, other utilities, and city, county, state, tribal, and governmental agencies Administers contracts for projects, professional services, outside services, materials, and equipment We're Looking for Someone With: A minimum of a bachelor's degree A valid driver's license that meets the acceptable driving record of the Company Minimum of seven (7) years of experience related to the function, including two years of management experience, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience related to the discipline MM2 Master Gasfitter and GF9 Utility Installation (if applicable to function) Preference: Must live within a 30-minute response time to the Farmington office Working Conditions: Field, office, or plant environment. May be on 24-hour call during various periods of time. Travel between all regional offices within the service area required. Ability to sit up to 2/3 of the time and to stand, walk, and stoop up to 1/3 of the time. Good vision and ability to adjust focus is required. Manual dexterity and the ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk and listen, taste and smell is required. Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. May be exposed to wet or humid conditions, work near moving mechanical parts, fumes, or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and outdoor working conditions.
