Market Range: 12 Hiring Range: $5,014.28 - $6,842.95/Monthly  THIS POSITION IS LOCATED IN KNOXVILLE, TN JOB SUMMARY/ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: The Manager of the Office of Undergraduate Medical Education (UME) oversees all operations and activities of the UTHSC College of Medicine Knoxville Campus Office of UME. The position serves as the primary contact for all medical students, UTHSC PA students, faculty, and outside stakeholders in the day-to-day operations. The position supports development and implementation of student programming and will provide directs assistance to the Assistant Dean of UME.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : 
1. Serves as the principal orchestrator of UME's diverse portfolio of initiatives and functions, including Orientation, Match Day, Dean's Lunches, NBME Shelf Exams, wellness programs, leadership development, specialty exploration days, and faculty-related affairs.
2. Leverages a comprehensive understanding of student development principles and proficiency in student service.
3. Serves as the primary liaison for student engagement, delivering essential support, guidance, and resources on the Knoxville Campus.
4. Engages in the creation and refinement of new initiatives, pinpointing opportunities for enhancement and spearheading the introduction of innovative strategic resolutions.
5. Institutes and upholds systematic data acquisition frameworks for the Office of Undergraduate Medical Education (UME), encompassing critical areas such as budgeting, scholarships, and scheduling.
6. Documents productivity metrics and ensures the punctual delivery of requisite reports
7. Collaborates with the Assistant Dean of Undergraduate Medical Education (UME), the Dean of the Graduate School of Medicine, and student leadership bodies to craft and implement wellness programs, community engagement opportunities, student accommodation solutions, and events designed to diminish stress and enhance resilience among medical students.
8. Provides oversight, direction and performance assessment of staff within UME office.
9. Partners with the research office to synchronize and facilitate research opportunities for medical students, ensuring that students have access to a broad spectrum of investigative pursuits.
10. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree. (TRANSCRIPT REQUIRED) EXPERIENCE: Four (4) years of relevant experience; OR a combination of education and work-related experience to equal eight (8) years. ( Experience helping students navigate higher education is preferred.) KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Expertise in a variety of data management applications, including Microsoft Office Suite, Office 365, Outlook, and Microsoft Teams. Understanding of virtual communication and collaboration platforms such as Zoom and social media channels. Familiarity with media scheduling tools like Calendly and Doodlepoll, along with other digital resources crucial for efficient workflow management. Exceptional organizational competencies, with a proven track record of managing and prioritizing multiple projects and tasks concurrently, ensuring seamless execution and delivery. Ability to identify and resolve operational challenges, as well as the competency to execute changes that enhance operational performance and efficiency. Ability to display effective communication, characterized by concise, focused, and well-structured oral and written presentations. WORK SCHEDULE: This position may occasionally be required to work weekends and evenings. May require occasional overnight travel.
