The key to our expansion lies in recruiting a talented Municipal Sales Territory Manager who will lead the development and execution of our sales strategy for municipal contracts, driving new business opportunities and fostering strong client relationships. Working closely with our leadership team, this role will play a pivotal role in our continued success.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting directly to the Director of Strategic Accounts, you will:
Proactively identify and pursue business opportunities with municipal customers within your assigned territory.
Collaborate with local dealerships to prepare and deliver responses to RFPs and bids, ensuring a seamless sales process.
Develop and implement comprehensive account plans to achieve annual sales objectives, nurturing long-term relationships with key decision-makers.
Stay abreast of market trends and competitors' activities, actively participating in industry events and associations.
Maintain accurate sales documentation using our CRM system, and regularly meet with dealership representatives to ensure alignment and engagement.
Stay attuned to political and social developments that may impact our customers and strategic direction.
Undertake additional duties as required to support our team and organizational goals.
Professional Experience & Qualifications
We are looking for candidates who possess:
Three to four years of sales experience in construction equipment or a related industry.
Demonstrated experience in government sales or relations, with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.) and CRM systems.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects independently.
A results-oriented mindset, coupled with the ability to influence cross-functional teams effectively.
A proactive approach to problem-solving, with attention to detail and a focus on continuous improvement.
Willingness to travel, with occasional overnight stays.
Education
A Bachelor of Science degree in Business, Marketing, or equivalent work experience is required.
