Global Treasury, a segment of the American Express Finance group, is responsible for providing a balance sheet that provides a competitive advantage for the company. This includes managing liquidity and capital to support our business; delivering cost-effective, diverse, and resilient funding; and identifying, measuring, and addressing financial and operational risks.
The Treasury Technology and Operational Transformation team ( TTOT ) is part of the Global Treasury Operations team and has responsibility for:
ü Advancing and delivering Treasury's digital strategy & related initiatives.
ü Lead the governance, operational effectiveness and relationship management of the Treasury Management System.
ü Provide support in the identification, monitoring and mitigation of operational risks within the Treasury function.
The Manager – Treasury Technology and Operational Transformation will act as a conductor of transformation activity between Treasury and American Express Technology development teams and ensure alignment with Finance's transformation and technology journey. The manager will be responsible for managing development projects, translating product manager requirements into tasks for development and addressing any associated risks.
How will you make an impact in this role? The Manager will play a key role in working extensively across cross-functional teams to successfully develop and prioritize features and create products that meet business objectives. As part of a digital transformation team this role will play an integral part in the reimagination of balance sheet analytics and reporting functionalities, inclusive of all data and application development within the Treasury critical Project Fast Forward initiative.
Essential Skills: + Results oriented, with a track record of driving results across multiple initiatives.
+ Proven success in partnering with Technology and Business teams to translate needs into user stories, guide product definition, and conduct user testing to deliver on the Product roadmap.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional partners across Treasury to brainstorm innovative solutions, capture requirements and benefits and drive a common future vision.
Project/program management, project execution, risk identification and escalation. Manage project deliverables including, Leadership updates, Strategy/PI session planning, project plan, project call updates, production deployment schedules. + Strong communication, relationship building and collaboration skills, including influencing to drive progress and decision making.
+ Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, able to move quickly between big picture and detail and produce meaningful conclusions.
+ Self-motivated, pro-active individual with excellent attention to detail
+ Ability to adjust quickly to shifting priorities, multiple demands, ambiguity, and rapid change with time management.
Minimum Qualifications: + 2 years of project management experience using Agile methodologies.
+ Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, operate effectively within large cross-functional teams and influence business partners to drive transformational change.
+ Ability to manage multiple priorities, drive projects, improve processes, and work well under time-pressured deadlines.
+ Understanding of Scaled Agile (SAFe) principles and experience effectively managing a backlog of competing initiatives.
+ Ability to collaborate well with Technology and business partners and navigate complex decision-making.
+ Outstanding communication, presentation to audiences of varying sizes and backgrounds, and time management skills.
+ Self-starter, comfortable leading change and getting things done.
+ Ability to travel less than 10%
+ Proficient in MS Excel & PowerPoint
+ Treasury and Financial reporting knowledge desired
Preferred Additional Qualifications: + Product Ownership experience [preferred]
+ Undergraduate degree in Engineering or Finance
+ MBA a plus
Qualifications Salary Range: $80,000.00 to $155,000.00 annually bonus benefits
