Job Title: Manager, Finance and Operations

Salary Range: $70,000–$75,000
Reports to: Senior Director of Finance and Administration
Location: Hybrid (in-office attendance required approximately 2–3 days per week)
Job Summary/Objective As a member of the Finance team, the Manager of Finance and Operations supports ARL's functions within the areas of finance/accounting and office operations. Core duties include the management of the accounts payable and accounts receivable processes; day-to-day administration of office operations and management of general office matters such as equipment and supplies. This position contributes to the development of a trusting and inclusive culture which reinforces ARL norms and values including the Code of Conduct.
Essential Functions Finance and Accounting — Approximately 80% Process all Accounts Payable (includes recording and filing of vendor invoices, preparing electronic payments)Process all Accounts Receivable (includes production, recording, filing and reporting on customer invoices)Process incoming payments (includes preparing weekly bank deposits, recording all cash receipts)Management of the the monthly credit card reconciliationReconcile accounts and produce reportsLiaise with partner organizations on financial recordkeeping mattersEngage with vendors and customers as necessary in a professional and customer service focused mannerOther duties as assignedOperations/Office Management — Approximately 20% Manage office supply inventoryManage of offsite storage (Iron Mountain)Manage office equipment (copiers/scanners, printers, postal machine, office audio/visual equipment)Assist with coordination of in-office meetingsLiaise with building management company as needed for day-to-day operationsOther duties as assignedSupervisory responsibilities None
Work environment This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Position Type & Expected hours of work This is a full-time position during standard office hours (9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, 35 hour work week).
Travel This position may require infrequent travel within the US and Canada.
Required education and experience Associate's degree or certificate in business/finance/accounting AND 2 or more years of hands-on accounting experience.
Preferred education and experience Bachelor's degree in business/finance/accounting AND 3 or more years of non-profit accounting experience, including experience with MIP Fund Accounting software.
