The Digital Channel Manager is responsible for strategically directing the content and products across the digital marketing channels for Keck Medicine of USC. These channel touchpoints include but are not limited to consumer facing web content, online ad campaign landing pages, research highlights and other user-engaged copy. Manager duties include working with management and team members to identify business objectives to align with company priorities and soliciting content to meet those objectives within a given time frame. The Manager will collaborate with a team of content creators and marketing leads to ensure consistency of messaging for all strategic business audiences. The Digital Channel Manager's responsibility includes creating and enforcing a plan for content of all types (written, visual, feed-based, etc.). This entails a host of duties and responsibilities, such as: Working with the Content Team (editors, writers), Web Development Producers, project managers and other team members to solicit and publish/deploy content across all digital properties. Researching and staying up to date on the latest developments in terms of search engine optimization, content trends and consumer behavior Maintaining a calendar of project deadlines and key launch dates Overseeing the development and launch of new consumer-facing channels
Essential Duties: Consumer-facing strategies support the marketing teams and business segment marketers through development of annual digital strategies for Keck Medicine of USC, including website, SEO, and social media based on prior year learnings and drive macro ongoing improvements. Content plan partner with Content Team, business segment leaders, marketing teams, development team to create and develop digital content calendars that are integrated into broader communication plans and deliver business & marketing objectives and SEO needs. Manage all touchpoints on key channels of the website and partner with leads for SEM, email and social media Measuring and ongoing optimization working with Analytics Team and individual business segment leaders to identify key performance metrics and provide key insights and recommendations for short- and longer-term optimizations to improve content performance. Closely partner with web development team to build, maintain and optimize digital channels across all website properties and adopt user experience best practices to improve website conversions. Partner with team of writers, editors, designers, and visual artists who are responsible for creating content such as articles, content pages, landing pages, etc. that aligns with business goals, timelines and web guidelines. Performs other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications: Req Bachelor's degree Marketing Degree in Digital Marketing, or other related area of study. Req 5-7 years Experience working in digital and/or social marketing across various platforms. Req Experience managing a team in a fast-paced environment. Req Solid understanding of SEO, as well as emerging digital content, marketing, and audience acquisition practices; basic understanding of HTML and web publishing. Req Ability to facilitate and persuade diverse cross functional teams: marketing and business leaders, regulatory/legal, service line leadership, designers, and web developers. Req Eye for compelling and strategic creative. Ability to inspire creatives to bigger ideas and generate some ideas on their own. Req Expert with SEO guidelines and keyword research tools (e.g. Moz and Google Keyword Planner), and web marketing (ie. Google Analytics). Preferred Qualifications: Pref Master's degree Marketing Degree in Digital Marketing, or other related area of study. Required Licenses/Certifications: Req Fire Life Safety Training (LA City) If no card upon hire, one must be obtained within 30 days of hire and maintained by renewal before expiration date. (Required within LA City only)
The annual base salary range for this position is $110,240.00 - $181,896.00. When extending an offer of employment, the University of Southern California considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidates work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, federal, state, and local laws, contractual stipulations, grant funding, as well as external market and organizational considerations.
